What is Profhilo?

Profhilo® is a revolutionary bio stimulator treatment. When injected into skin, Profhilo stimulates the skin cell receptors to counteract skin laxity and improve and restore firmness of the skin. One of the highest concentrations of hyaluronic acid on the market, Profhilo not only boosts and hydrates the skin, but also remodels ageing and sagging tissue. Two Types of Profhilo

Not all Profhilo is the same, and part of my job is matching the right one to your skin and your goals. At Sorelle I offer both.

Profhilo Classic, for skin quality and glow. This is the original bio remodelling treatment, and it is all about the health and quality of your skin. It floods the skin with deep, lasting hydration and stimulates your own collagen and elastin, so skin looks firmer, smoother, bouncier and more radiant. It is lovely on the face, neck, décolletage and hands.

Profhilo Structura, for a natural lift and structure. Structura is the newer addition to the Profhilo family, and it works a little deeper. Rather than focusing on surface quality, it helps support the underlying structure of the face, restoring firmness and giving a subtle, natural lifting effect where skin and support have started to soften with age.

And here is the important bit, and it is true of both: neither is a filler. Structura does not fill, volumise or change your features. It works with your own tissue to firm and support, which is exactly why it fits my no filler approach. If your main concern is skin quality and glow, Classic is usually the answer. If it is a softening jawline or a loss of firmness, Structura may be the better fit. We decide together at your consultation.

Benefits of having a Profhilo® treatment

We use Profhilo® by injecting it into 10 specific areas on your face, called BAP (bio-aesthetic points). Each side of your face gets 5 injections of 0.2ml each. The product then spreads under your skin, hydrating deep within, thanks to the hyaluronic acid that loves water. This helps keep your skin hydrated for a fresh and natural look.

Profhilo After Care

  • The product is injected in small ‘deposits’, you may be able to see them initially, but they settle usually within 12 hours.
  • It may be possible to feel the product where it has been injected under the skin. Do not massage the area
  • Make-up should not be worn for 12 hours
  • You are advised to avoid alcohol and exercise/swimming for 48 hours
  • Avoid sun-bathing, and extremes of heat or cold for 14 days post treatment.
  • Any bruising may take a few days to appear, arnica can be helpful in clearing bruising. It is advisable to avoid aspirin and alcohol for 12-48 hours after treatment.
  • It is recommended after all aesthetic treatments to wear SPF protection
