If your skin has started looking a little tired, dull or dehydrated no matter what you put on it, you’re not alone, and it’s one of the most common things I hear in the clinic. Creams and serums can only do so much from the surface. Sometimes your skin needs feeding from within, and that’s exactly what mesotherapy does. It’s become one of my favourite treatments for bringing tired skin back to life.

What is mesotherapy?

Mesotherapy is a treatment that delivers a tailored cocktail of goodness directly into the skin, think vitamins, minerals, amino acids, antioxidants and hydrating hyaluronic acid. Instead of sitting on top like a moisturiser, these active ingredients are placed where your skin can actually use them, deep enough to nourish, hydrate and kickstart your skin’s own repair.

I always tailor the blend to your skin, so whether you’re dealing with dullness, dehydration or the early signs of ageing, you get exactly what your skin needs rather than a one size fits all approach.

What can mesotherapy do for your face?

Quite a lot, actually. On the face, mesotherapy is brilliant for:

  • Deep hydration, plumping skin that has lost its bounce
  • Radiance, waking up dull, tired skin and bringing back that healthy glow
  • Smoother texture and tone, softening the look of fine lines and unevenness
  • Support for ageing skin, feeding it the nutrients it naturally makes less of as we get older
  • A refreshed, rested look, even when life has been anything but restful

It is not a dramatic, overnight change. It is the kind of treatment that leaves your skin looking healthier, fresher and more like you on a really good day, with results that build over a short course.

What does it actually treat?

Mesotherapy is a lovely option if you are noticing dull, lacklustre skin, dehydration and tightness, tired and stressed skin, the early signs of ageing, or a loss of glow and firmness.

If your main concern is deeper lines or significant firmness, I might suggest pairing it with, or starting with, something like microneedling or polynucleotides. We will always work that out together at your consultation.

Not keen on needles? Meet the Mesojet

Here is the part I love telling people who have been putting mesotherapy off because they do not like the idea of injections. You do not have to have them.

At Sorelle I offer no needle mesotherapy using the Toskani Mesojet. Instead of injections, it uses a gentle jet of pressure to push those same nourishing ingredients into the skin, completely needle free. It is comfortable, relaxing and there is no downtime, so it is perfect if you are nervous, new to treatments, or you simply want your glow without the ouch. You get all the benefits of mesotherapy in a way that feels more like a treat than a treatment.

What can I expect, and is there any downtime?

It is a comfortable, relaxing treatment, especially the needle free version. Afterwards your skin may look a little flushed or feel slightly warm for a short while, but most people head straight back to their day. For the best results I usually recommend a short course, then the odd top up to keep your skin looking its best.

Is mesotherapy right for me?

It suits most skin types and is especially loved by women in their 30s, 40s and beyond who want healthier, more hydrated, glowing skin without anything drastic. As always, I start every treatment with a proper skin analysis, so I can see what is really going on and build a plan around your skin.

How it fits with the rest of your skincare

Mesotherapy plays beautifully with my other regenerative treatments. Many clients combine it with skin boosters or polynucleotides for an extra boost, and it is a gorgeous way to keep your skin topped up between bigger treatments.
